About the Mad Hatter Mixed Media Designs

The found object mixed media sculptures, are one-of-a-kind originals, created using recycled china, repurposed porcelain figurines, and other found materials which were hand-selected by the artist during her many travels around the world. Many individual pieces are assembled to create the different sculptures. When creating a new piece, she allows the reclaimed objects to inspire the flow of her creativity. The Mad Hatter Mixed Media Series is inspired by the Lewis Carroll book, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and the lyrics from White Rabbit released on

Jefferson Airplane’s 1967 album, Surrealistic Pillow. The Mad Hatter series creates a whimsical representation of objects that may have been present at the psychedelic tea party for the Red Queen of Hearts. The artist’s goal is to bring a flight-of-fancy into reality and to put a smile on

everyone’s face.
